OPC Server Ethernet is a connectivity solution that bridges Ethernet-enabled industrial devices—such as PLCs, RTUs, and smart sensors—to OPC-compliant clients. It enables real-time data exchange between the plant floor and higher-level systems, including SCADA, HMI, MES, and data historians. The server communicates over standard TCP/IP networks and exposes device tags to clients through widely used OPC interfaces, allowing interoperable monitoring and control across mixed-vendor environments.
Key capabilities include flexible device configuration (IP, ports, and protocol settings), comprehensive tag management (data types, scaling, and organization), configurable polling and update rates, and built-in diagnostics for connection status and troubleshooting. It supports multiple simultaneous devices and clients, helping teams scale deployments without sacrificing performance. Where supported by the chosen OPC profile and client ecosystem, it can also integrate alarms/events and historical data.
Ideal for industrial automation, energy and utilities, building management, and process industries, OPC Server Ethernet reduces integration effort, standardizes access to real-time data, and improves visibility across operations.
OPC Server Ethernet is developed by INAT GmbH. The most popular versions of this product among our users are: 4.0 and 4.1. The names of program executable files are Paramqlnt.exe, TCPIPH1.exe.
